Staff Participation in Community Activities
The Board appreciates the members of the school faculties and other employees participating in the life of the community. Conduct or associations on the part of a faculty member which discredits or embarrasses the school district or the school’s patrons are discouraged by the Board.
The Board further encourages employees to participate fully in community organizations, particularly in their service-related activities. Such encouragement extends to the district’s willingness to assist school personnel in assuming responsibilities of leadership and office holding in such organizations.
It is highly recommended and encouraged that all school employees who make their home and residence within the boundaries of the School District 4J exercise their civic responsibilities to vote. Teachers and other employees new to the district should take care of registering as soon as possible.
