Staff Health and Safety
The Board authorizes the superintendent to take appropriate means to provide for the health and safety of all employees while engaged in the performance of their duties.
The superintendent will develop training and written procedures necessary to accomplish this goal and to meet the requirements of the law.
All employees will be trained to recognize and to respond appropriately to the presence of hazardous materials. All personnel who may be exposed to hazardous materials during the performance of their duties or in an emergency will be so informed and trained to appropriately deal with these materials.
The building principals will maintain up to date MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) notebooks for staff use on any hazardous substance used in the school setting.
All employees shall conduct their work in compliance with the safety rules of the district.
