Employment of Students
The school district will make every effort to:
- Employ students for part-time activities to work towards payment of student fees and/or athletic participation fees for students who cannot otherwise afford the fees;
- Assist students in finding jobs upon the completion of their courses of study.
District funded employment shall be approved by the superintendent and carried out in compliance with program requirements.
The guidance department and work experience coordinator are assigned responsibility for the ongoing operations of a school-based placement service. The functions of this service will be to:
- Identify job openings;
- Inform students of job openings;
- Match students with jobs; and
- Follow up on students who are employed.
