Development of Regulations
The Board delegates to the superintendent the function of specifying required actions and designing detailed arrangements to operate the district in accordance with Board policy. These detailed arrangements constitute the regulations governing the district.
The superintendent will carefully weigh the counsel given by representatives of staff, student and community organizations regarding those regulations. He/She will inform the Board of such counsel in presenting regulations for Board action.
The Board will adopt regulations when state laws require the Board to do so. It may also adopt regulations when the superintendent recommends Board action.
