The Amity School District feels that a sound and constructive relationship between the school and community is essential to meet the community’s need. Fulfillment of this policy will be the responsibility of the superintendent for providing guidance to staff members to improve their community interaction skills, developing strategies for listening to public and staff concerns and actively involving citizens in the decision-making process of the district. School staff members, community leaders, citizens, service clubs and others will be provided an opportunity to discuss school issues and assist in continuing the Amity School Board of Directors’ philosophical belief that “Excellence is a Community Affair” and “Together We Can Make Good Things Happen.”
