Admission of Part-Time Private School Students

The Amity School District Board reserves the right to accept/reject the part-time admission of private school students based upon the availability of space, resources, personnel, appropriate programs and upon a positive review of both educational and behavioral records.

In the case of all requests for part-time admission of private school students to Amity School District, the following procedure will be followed.

  1. Principals will establish the approximate number of private school students that their respective programs can accommodate based on available space.
  2. Admission applications must go through the principal’s office to the superintendent’s office.
  3. Student educational and behavioral records will be obtained and reviewed prior to admission.
  4. Initial admittance and annual renewal must be approved by the superintendent.
  5. In-district, full-time and part-time students will be given preference over private school students.
  6. Only private school students who live within district boundaries will be considered for class enrollment.
  7. The superintendent may exclude a student if he/she does not comply with the district discipline code.
  8. Students who request to participate in extracurricular activities in grades 9-12 must meet eligibility requirements for programs administered by the Oregon School Activities Association.
