Student achievement
- Increase the share of students meeting and exceeding Oregon State Assessment Standards.
- Align math, reading and writing curriculum to National Common Core State Standards.
- Align and use professional development to improve student achievement.
- Prepare students for post-secondary education, careers and civic life through a variety of learning opportunities.
- Monitor progress and adjust instruction throughout the year.
- Engage students in developing their Personal Education Plan, K–12.
Resource stewardship
- Maintain fiscal responsibility through sound financial strategies.
- Attract and retain quality educators and staff.
- Support professional development programs.
- Develop short- and long-term facility and maintenance plans.
- Use current classroom technology across curriculum levels.
Communication
- Build relationships with every student to ignite a passion for learning.
- Keep communication open and transparent, with input from the community, staff, students and administrators.
- Maintain healthy, cooperative and professional staff relationships and a culture of trust.
- Improve community understanding of state requirements and their effect on students.
- Engage stakeholders’ knowledge and resourcefulness.
- Improve understanding of district budget goals and the budgeting process.
